Zippers..........,
November 11, 2009
By:
JoeZfrom On a Great Lake near you.
"Let me start of by saying I love the look of this pack, I also love the design. I have used it almost daily for the last three months with but 1 complaint.
Today while zipping up the front right lower pocket , the zipper clasp broke. I then noticed streamside it was made out of a plastic material and not metal.
Will I be able to get a replacement clasp or will I have to return the whole product.
Once again great design, great product other than this once incident."

Best vest ever built!,
September 13, 2009
By:
Anzefrom Slovenia
"Vest is really light (even when 2 liters of water are filled in hydration pack), a lot of pockets, space for additional clothing, hydration pack saves a lot of »aerobic exercises« when reaching for a bottle when fishing in deep water, it dries very fast, very comfortable and adjustable straps. And two small pockets at the end of lower straps are really useful. There are also some things that I miss on this vest. When right upper pocket is really full, the end of forceps jut out and if you are focused on bringing your fish out, you can pin yourself when reaching for forceps. If pocket for forceps would be longer, that would not happen so often, I suppose. The other thing that I miss is waterproof pocket (for my fishing license and cellular phone; I do a lot of deep water nymphing and fall in water sometime) and also two additional D-rings. But nevertheless this is far the best vest ever built!"

Good, but still disappointed.,
January 8, 2009

"The best and worst thing about this pack is the expandable straps. I'm 6'5" and have a 54" chest. There is not a single vest on the market for tall anglers. I bought this pack because it was the best option, but still looks like I'm wearing a kids size. I have to extend the straps out to the max to keep it from looking like I put it on, got wet and it shrank 3-4 sizes while I was still in it, but still looks a little ridiculous on me when expanded.
Still a dedicated Orvis customer!"

One Vest For All,
September 14, 2008
By:
Mikejr79
"This is my 3rd vest and it beats all the others. Its easier to move around it, I can store all my gear so I don't need any other bags. The camel blatter is a great idea, no more carrying water bottles. Every time I wear it with my waders, I fell like I'm about to go moon walking not fishing."

"The integrated hydration kit makes this pack wonderful. Fishing in Colorado, hydration is a key to a successful day on the water. This keeps the weight distributed and gives you acess to what you need, where you need it."

Best Vest I've Owned,
May 17, 2008
By:
IFLYRODfrom Los Angeles, CA
"I bought this pack to replace an old vest I owned and I love this vest. It carries everything I need and more. Sometimes I think I have too much, but if I need it, it's there. My wife bought one too. I don't use it much, but she likes the hydro pack included with the vest."

Fishpond can't hold a candle!,
December 4, 2007
By:

"I love this pack, it keeps everything you need close by and helps keep your layers close to your body for those brisk early spring trips. I don't use the hydration bladder, but that's not because I don't like it. If I had to pinpoint one gripe about the pack, it would be the net scabbard. It will only fit a very specific net size and shape and I don't feel like buying a new net to go with my new pack. Other than that, I love this thing!"

Need D Rings,
October 5, 2007
By:

"There are a few things this pack needs and that is Drings. I switched to this pack for summer and liked the fit and feel but I found that I had no place to hang my magnetic net attachment or my non-pin zingers."

Amazing,
September 30, 2007
By:

"This pack is the most comfortable vest/pack I have ever worn. The straps adjust on the shoulders to raise or lower the height on the pack and the storage is more than ample. I carry 8 boxes with me along with an extra reel and 2 extra spools and all the tippet and leaders one could ever need. The hydration bladder is really nice and lighter than I expected. I highly recommend this product. Orvis does it again with another great product!!!"

"Bought this chest pack because I am diabetic. It has already proved itself very well. I am able to pack a whole days worth of snacks and lunch in it and still have room for all my gear plus water! very well designed and comfortable enough to wear for the whole day. Once again Orvis come through with another great product. Thanks again!"
