"These sandals are bit more rustic than what the pic shows. However, they look great and feel even better. I do agree with the one review, there seems to be more room in front of the toes than usual...no matter though, these things are great and are a great price for the quality of Orvis. I would highly recommend you stop looking now and just buy them!"

"While I have come to trust Orvis quality, I must confess that I thought twice about spending this much on sandals. But no regrets here. Don't be fooled by the casual whip stitch styling (which makes these so attractive). These are very sturdy sandals that don't seem like they'll blow up for at least a few more summers. The strapping that goes over your foot is wide (1&3/16) and nicely padded on the inside (so very comfortable). The sole is quite sturdy bordering on stiff for a flip flop. The color is a very attractive red earthy tone (which will darken a bit beneath your footprint - no problem). While I give them a 5, the only drawback for me is what seems like just a little too much sole in front of the toes. My heel is about a half inch from the back, but there is about an inch or so between the end of my toes and the front of the sole. Then again, maybe I just have short toes! I say this just to be as descriptive as possible. I haven't been tripping over extra toe room so it's not a problem. This is by far the best pair of sandals I've ever owned."

"we ordered these sandals last spring for our son who had been away for a couple of years. they were perfect as they had that well travelled appearance to them even brand new. he liked them very much and wears them often. however, i would caution anyone buying them to try not to get them wet as it sets up a bit of a sqeak in the leather after that."
