"recently purchased for wedding rehearsal dinner. jacket looks great with dress slacks or jeans, with tie, with sweater, etc. plenty of pockets and room to move comfortably. nice weight for cooler weather."

"This jacket is well constructed, in keeping with Orvis quality in general and true to sizing compared to other Orvis jackets I have purchased in the same size. I purchased the tan jacket, however, the jacket has more of a greenish color than expected. In addition, the center button came undone with the first wearing, which is a problem experienced with another Orvis jacket I purchased -- so maybe it's just me. Regardless, all-in-all this is a nice jacket."

"Orvis has hit a home run with its silk tweed jacket. It's a perfect addition to the wardrobe of today's well dressed man! With its neutral shade, I can just add a pair of casual khakis or dress slacks, just about any shirt and the sharp tie is optional! The choices are almost endless.
I believe this silk jacket will be perfect a summer out on the town or a winter vacation far away from our snowy Maine winters. Given that fall is quickly descending on the Northeast, unless Indian summer arrives soon, the jacket will probably get its christening in the islands. So, I appreciate that Orvis designed the jacket with its "File System pocket design". Since I'll be packing it for a Caribbean cruise, the pocket sized for airline tickets is also much appreciated. Now, if you'd only offer more jackets and shirts in tall or long sizes, I'd be even more appreciative."

"I'm impressed with this jacket. Impressed also that the other commenter(s) echo my own sentiments. The silk tweed makes for one comfortable and versatile sport coat. Most any coat makes me know I'm wearing one. With this silk jacket however, that sensation just isn't there; it's that comfortable. And, it does work as well with jeans as it does with slacks. Casual, yet very stylish. Properly accessorized, this jacket could go about anywhere. An instant favorite, a definite keeper."

"I bought this for my husband four years ago. It still looks new and and it's still his jacket of choice for most occassions. It has the ability to look semi-dressy when paired with fine slacks, good shirt, and stylish tie. But it also looks sharp with a tailored T and "dress" jeans or chinos. It travels well and it's versatility comes in handy. (Am thinking about sneaking the sage color into his wardrobe.) Thanks for the versatile, high quality jacket ! He's received many complements on it."

"This jacket has held up for 12 years of semi-casual business wear. It still gets compliments and is incredibly comfortable. The "tan" seems to have changed somewhat over time -- mine had a few more light-red hints than the current weave -- but my guess is that it will still go with a variety of pant and shirt combinations. Along with a blue blazer I bought for over twice the price at the same time from a well known men's clothier, this offering from Orvis has lasted longer than any other piece in my wardrobe."
