Solves the hair problem!,
October 12, 2008
By:
tdcsixfrom Pittsburgh, PA area
"The Furminator is amazing - that's all there is to it. Our 14 year old Golden has a dense, impossibly thick undercoat that we have spent many unpleasant hours grooming - it has been the number-one challenge of owning him. The Furminator brought an end to the stress of de-shedding him! It easily took a fully-packed grocery bag of hair out of him the first time we used it. Unlike other deshedding tools, the Furminator is EASY ON THE USER - it doesn't tire out your hands, wrists, and arms, something that was a challenge for me with other tools. Smooth, long strokes are used - they're very pleasant for the dog, who feels like he's being lightly massaged/brushed. This will save us money, and will keep our old guy in top form. What a fantastic find! Worth every penny!"

Expensive? Yes. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY!!!,

"Honestly, I was very reluctant to spend this much money on a grooming tool for my dog and cat, but I have to say that the furminator is worth every penny! Not only does it cut down on the shedding, but the hair on my pets feels so much nicer, and both my border collie and my long haired orange mog love being groomed with it!!!"

Easy as combing your own hair,
July 8, 2009

"What a great product. Picked the large FURminator® Deshedding Tool up last week at the Sandestin FL store and found it super easy to use and absolutely amazing at removing the undercoat. The amount of undercoat that came off our chocolate lab was incredible. I think our lab wished we had purchased it years ago. I still can't get over how well the FURminator® Deshedding Tool works. Anybody who cares about their pet should use one."

Great for cats...,
June 17, 2009

"Purchased this for my cat - a great purchase. Previously, there were tufts of hair floating in the air when we'd pet him. Now - no more hair floating around! He also enjoys it - just lays there and purrs loudly when I comb him. A great product. Note: For cats, I think it requires a more gentle touch. Lots of fur comes off with just gentle pressure applied."

the best brush so far,
May 11, 2009
By:
Labrador
"I have two labradors, and both shed a lot. I have tried a number of brushes, but this one is the best so far. Certainly it does not completely stop shedding (I am not sure that is possible). But it does seem to get enough hair off the dogs when used to reduce the amount of hair that ends up on the floor throughout the day. At any rate, both dogs seem to like being brushed with it."

"I have bought and used a number of brushes for my Australian Shepard. Up till this one, they either did not work too well, or my dog hated them. He tolorates this one well (I think he actually likes it....) and it works great! It is a little pricey but worth the expense."

Best Fur Flying Tool Around,
June 28, 2008
By:
Mommedicfrom Alamogordo, NM
"I do rescue work and being "mom" to 5 goldens myself as well as the clean up committee for their shedding, I find this a wonderful tool to manage not only thier shedding but it maintain their coats ! I have used several other tools and they tend to shy away since these tools did pull, however this tool does not pull when being used and they do not shy away from it. All the "kids" agree it was the best present "mom" ever brought them home.....Paws Up"

Incredible Tool,
June 12, 2008

"I was hesitant about buying this product because it is rather expensive. After trying the product, however, I realize that it was worth the money. I have two cats and a chow mix pup. They love being combed with the furminator, and I'm amazed by the amount of dead hair it pulls from their coats. I've not seen a tool that comes close to doing the job as well. All of the animals look better, feel better, and I don't have to vacuum so much!"

Well worth the price,
June 10, 2008
By:

"When I first saw the price tag on this "brush" I thought no way, then I watched the video - I was sold. I'm glad to say this is one product that works as advertised - I used it on my Golden and removed 75% more hair in a fourth of the time I used with other brushes and combs. I don't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone with a shedding dog."

"One of my cats loves this product. The other is fine with it. The one who loves it -- comes when called for brushing, turns over to the other side when needed and even offers up her little belly that we comb very gently. She's the one with the undercoat so it's wonderful!"

The dog ate my furminator!,
January 19, 2008
By:
lucky
"While I found this to be an effective tool on my pitti/lab/shep cross, it was not at all effective on my rough collie/border collie who has long thick fur with an undercoat. It did not remove anywhere near as much of the dead fur from her as my much cheaper rake-type brush. Even for the pitti cross, my ordinary wire brush was almost just as effective. However, there is something in the handle that must taste good - because one week after I bought the large sized one, I came home to find one of my dogs had completely eaten the rubber handle. NONE of my dogs chew things up - ever - so something in that handle smelled like food. And all that money was down the drain."

Fabulous!,
December 31, 2007
By:
Flagal34from South Florida
"I would highly recommend this Furminator product to anyone with a dog OR a cat.....although I have a lab, his fur is not that much of a problem....HOWEVER, I have a black and white tuxedo kitty with medium length fur, who has serious hairball problems.....although we use the hairball medication, etc. the problem REALLY went away when we started brushing her with the FURMINATOR.....it was AMAZING! Previously, I had used the round grooming blade, all kinds of professional grooming tools but nothing touched that thick undercoat of hers......I brushed her with the FURMINATOR, ( the smaller one, especially for cats ) and you wouldn't BELIEVE the mountain of fur I got off of her! Now, it is the ONLY tool I use on her and just brushing her thoroughly once or twice a week does the job....a word of caution, though, careful not to DIG the tool into the pet's skin, just brush them close, but not THAT close, because it might be abrasive. And make sure you always put the blade protector back on, because if you break its teeth, it won't work any more. A bit pricey, but worth every penny and needless to say, she doesn't have the hairball problem hardly at all now...."

The Furminator Works,
November 12, 2007
By:
AuK9from Minnesota
"I've had a bunch of goldens over the years. Up till now I've always thought a shedding blade worked the best at getting the undercoat. The Furminator does it better. I too thought the price was high, but in retrospect, it seems worth it. One of my goldens didn't seem to give up much fur with the Furminator, the other however gave up 3 bags worth! Use it regularly and be gentle with it. I also keep a softer brush for touch ups and finishing the brushing."
