"The sweatshirt looked very cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately, my experience was not very good with the item I ordered. It was way too big (shirt is not available in Small), and the print was hard to read on the dark blue background. More important, the embroidery on the front was defective - it said "Official Dog Walk" instead of "Walker." The replacement I ordered was also wrong (dog's name was missing from the back), but third time was the charm. Good color, right embroidery, but still way too big! First bad experience I've had with Orvis in the many years I've placed orders. But returns were easy and I will continue to shop Orvis."

"I purchased two of these for my wife a year or two ago. On our way home from vacation in Freeport Maine we detoured and stopped by your main store in Manchester Vermont to do a little shopping. My wife was wearing one of her sweatshirts with our Bernese Mtn Dog "Freeport" name on it. While in your store she was approached by three women from Freeport Maine also shopping. They came up to my wife and were stunned to see that thier home town in Maine had an "Official Dog Walker". Everyone was surprised and amused both by our dog's name and the fact that having an "official dog walker" would probably be a good thing.. Yes all three women ordered the sweatshirts..I have to get her another now for our latest dog...(another Berner) "Mr. Cooper".........."

A Really Great Idea!,

"As a general rule I never bother writing product reviews on any website, HOWEVER... this sweatshirt is such a neat idea and so well done I've just got to say something about it. My wife bought this Offical Dog Walker sweatshirt for me last Christmas and had it personalized with both of our dog's names on it. Fortunately she figured out how to get them both within the 10 letter limit allowed. The dogs' names are Sidney and Sophie... so she had them written as SID&SOPHIE, and they add the 'S onto the end of whatever name you supply them. Interestingly the & is skinnier than the other letters and so it give the appearance of small spaces placed before and after it. Looks fabulous. The quality of the sweatshirt is excellent and it sure is rugged/durable and warmy... PLUS... this is the single most talked about piece of clothing I have ever owned. People are always commenting on it everywhere I go... and it always gets some laughs and approving nods from dog lovers. I really wanted another one but couldn't find it on the Orvis site after Christmas... bummer! Then just today I came acrossed them... it must be a seasonal item I guess. Anyway... I just ordered two more (in the other two colors)... this is soooo unlike me, I never order clothing online... yet here I am ordering clothing and writing a review as well!!
I did notice that the sweatshirts this year don't seem to have the small "Offical Dog Walker" logo on the front left pocket area like they did last year... I've actually had people see only that front logo and inquire about obtaining my dog walking services for hire :) I just smiled and turned around to show the full (personalize) logo.
I wish Orvis would put the front logo back on and it would be nice if they could figure out how to get more letters (dog names) onto the shirt so people with multiple dogs could also enjoy the personalized aspect of 'message'.
Oh well, I'm now off to attending to my Official duties... the dogs are ready and I've got my Official Dog Walker shirt on... so here we go!"

"I purchased one last year for my dad. He loves it. Said it was warm and comfortable on those long chilly walks with the dog. I liked it so much just buying it for him that I thought I'd buy one for myself. "Sold out." So this year, when I saw that they were available, I bought one for myself and already purchased one for my friend for Christmas. Now my question is I have 3 dogs, do I get 2 more with there names on it?"
