Best waterfowling waders I've owned, November 25, 2009
By: jejo624 from Carlsbad, New Mexico

"I hunt waterfowl 40-50 days per year, in tough conditions. Though I try to "baby" my waders by avoiding ramming them into sharp or abrasive objects, it's inevitable that it happens. These waders have stood up for three seasons (so far) of long hikes in mesquite and saltcedar jungles in New Mexico, with no punctures or leaks. I have never had a pair of waders last that long, the way I hunt. They also are lightweight enough to make hiking easy, and roomy enough that if I put on 50 pounds, I could still wear them easily. My feet have stayed warm enough in temps down to about 20 degrees F. They're also the most comfortable waders I've had when it's 50 or 60 degrees F. I plan to buy another pair for a family member, and again for myself if these ever wear out.

I've hunted the midwest, the Great Lakes, the East Coast, and throughout Utah's brutal winters. Best waders I've ever owned. Superior to neoprene (although neoprene itself insulates a bt more, and can help float you in deep water...)."

"These were the only waders I wore during the duck season this year. The fit was better than ANY other boot foot wader I have ever owned. The body type feature made this possible. Plenty of length to walk very comfortably. They were warm enough in the boot to withstand 4 hours in sub 20 degree temps. The breathability meant moisture build up when putting out decoys or chasing downed birds. I bought a second pair just to have a back-up!"

best in 50 yrs in duck world, January 26, 2009
By: mistergrouse

"Let me say first that Iam very hard on all equipment and a tough critic of a lot of hunting products. BUT. These Church Creek bootfoot waders are the best comfort I have ever had in a duck hunting wader. They kept my feet warm and dry for three seasons now and i am crushed that the size 12 I need is not available in the current sale on these waders. Believe me , as I have duck hunted a LOT in the last 50 years. For me to get three years wear from any wader, under the conditions I put them through, well, it is unparalled. Typically I will wear out a pair in a year or season, but these just finished number 3 season and are still ready for next year. The tops are like wearing a pair of khakis as far as flexibility. Layering under the waders with fleece pants and one set of wicking layers under them and a single pair of socks has allowed me to be comfortable in all weather from sixty degree day to subzero. We just had exactly that temp range the last three days of the arkansas season which closed yesterday. We busted brush through woods in 60 degree temps on friday and stomped holes in one inch ice on sunday with wind chills below zero. I was never wet from all of this because of the breathability of the tops and feet statyed warm because ofthe insole inserts in the boots. I was nominated to walk to get the truck becasue evryone else said their waders would clam up forom condnsatin if they exerted that much .I have hunted all day in waist deep water with no problems. I did punch a stick through the boots a year ago , but a hot patch from the filling station fixed that instantly, and the patch is still tight and kind of event that is not the fault of the product. i would buy another pair of these waders in a heartbeat at the sale price if I could find a size 12. I would put the new pair on the shelf to replace these I have which surely will someday start to leak or something is bound to go wrong. But not so far..I have called a bunch of friends who wear size 11 and and size10 and urged them to buy a pair, fwiw."

"Great for about the first year but did not stand up to the rigors of a long waterfowl season. By the middle of the second season, the seams started to leak and the linings of the boots wore through resulting in blisters and bleeding. Hofefully the new design is more durable."
