"I picked up this rod a while ago and used it lightly. Recently, I pulled it off the shelf to get the kids out and had an absolute blast with the action this rod provided. I don't know why, but I appreciate this rod now more than when I bought it. The flex and action is absolutely perfect. It was fun to cast. I only wish I had purchased a 4 piece in order to bring it on trips and that there were alignment dots on the ferrules. Do not underestimate this rode due to its price. This is a great buy."

"I recently purchased a Orvis Clearwater II 8'6, 2-piece, Mid-Flex 6.5 fly fishing rod for 5-wt. line, 3 oz at my local Orvis dealer, and i cant say enough about the deal that Orvis was giving me. I was able to buy the Rod, an Orvis BBS Reel, fly line and all already on it, and ready to go fishing. Later that week, I tried the rod on the stream and how great was it! I was able to detect all the hits when nymph fishing, the rod was balanced greatly, and cast smoothly. Great rod for buy, and I highly recomend to anybody thinking about buying a, Orvis Clearwater II Fly Rod."
