"Always loved my Orvis fly-rod, but ran into some misfortune on the Little Red River in Arkansas the other day. Floated into a downed-tree, and my rod snapped. I was very disheartened. But Orvis stepped-up and replaced it with a brand-new, even better more-improved version, no questions asked. Thanks Orvis, for showing this country still has companies with integrity."

"The Clearwater II is a great rod for beginners to more advanced fisherman. I have used Orvis products for years and have not been disappointed. I bought a Clearwater II last season and it serves well for playing smaller fish on dries to larger ones on the drift. It would make a great beginner rod or even a second rod for anyone. The rod has a great feel/action and the personalization option adds a unique touch."

"My first fly rod was an original Clearwater 906. I loved the rod and returned to it often even as I bought more expensive rods. My original broke and was replaced (by the impressively responsive warranty dept.) by the Clearwater II and I have liked it even more. I've never casted a 6-wt. this responsive, even when compared to rods twice or three times the price. It's not hard to cast 60+ feet of line, but it's delicate enough to lay a size 18 PMD down softly. I would recommend it to anyone, no matter how experienced they (think they) are."
