"My wife got me this rod as a birthday present to use on our honeymoon in Belize. She picked it for the quailty, price and warrenty but little did I know I would have the greatest dy of my life fishing. This rods balance was great and loaded beautifully. It had me casting 50 feet and even one 60 foot cast on my first day. The guide at El Pescador was throwing out 70-80 foot cast with ease. I was lucky enough to land 4 Permit, 4 bones and a Jack.. What a day."

"Just got back from a great trip to Belize. This rod was amazing, it was able to handle the windy conditions with the ability to provide an excellent presentation of the fly cast after cast."

Clearwater II 9-weight, December 24, 2007

"The tempature jumped up into the low 40's, which means only one thing, re-schedule the afternoon and get out of the office by 11; the Lake Erie steelhead would be active by noon. The stream is over-grown and accurate casts are necessary. The Clearwater II gave me that accuracy and let me put the fly tight to the opposite bank at the top of each drift. I worked the section methodically to without seeing a fish. I didn't mind the lack of succcess because getting to know the Clearwater II was so enjoyable. I walked up on my fishing partner working a pair of steelies without any luck. I gave him my Clearwater II and with a tight loop he was able to get his fly under the overhanging branch that had obstructed his casts and into the seam the fish was in. The second cast a dark-green male struck. It would have been better if I had caught the first fish on my new rod, but it was still good.
I can't wait until October to match it up against Lake Ontario chinooks."
