"Received this rod and have been fishing small spring creeks and small freestone rivers. I've taken a 18" brown and 6 inch Brookies on the rod with no problem. I used the rod fishing small nymphs for Crappies and it is awesome. Combine this rod with Sharkskin line and you have an awesome setup. Very accurate, 20 to 40 feet it is dead on. The, as I call soft action protects fine tippets and the small travel size makes it a perfect walk in rod. I carry the case and disassemble the rod while walking though the woods as to not break it on the walk in and out. The soft action almost reminds me of a bamboo rod without the weight. You won't be disappointed as it is one fine rod."

"this is by far the BEST one weight I have casted. I have owned 3 sage one weights, the original superfine one weight, a custom graphite one weight and and custom fiberglass one. this rod out preforms them by leaps and bounds! this has the best technology out of all of them. although the one down-fall to the rod is there is no hook keeper, I can live with that, just because this rod casts so beautifully, and handles fish even better. It even handles bulkier dries and nymphs very well. I would recommend this rod for someone who fishes small streams alot, or for someone who just likes very awesome rods. give this rod a test cast and you wont be disappointed!"

"I JUST ORDERED AND RECEIVED THIS ROD AND HAVE NOT FISHED IT, HOWEVER, I HAVE LAWN CAST IT, AND I AM REALLY IMPRESSED. THIS ROD CAN TAKE A HARD-TO-CAST 1-WEIGHT LINE AND CAST IT WITH EASE, WITH TIGHT LOOPS AND THE ABILITY TO CAST IT 40 FEET WITHOUT SACRIFICING DELICACY. I HAVE A LOT OF ORVIS RODS, FROM MODERN TO BAMBOO, TO OLD SUPERFINE GRAPHITES, INCLUDING AN ORIGINAL SUPERFINE 1-WEIGHT, AND I HAVE TO HONESTLY SAY, THIS ROD IS SUPERIOR. PLUS THE FACT THAT IT BREAKS DOWN TO SUCH A SMALL SIZE AND IT LOOKS SO GORGEOUS! GREAT JOB AGAIN, ORVIS"
