"I love wool jacket and Orvis product so I was very excited to order this one based on the website catalogue and reviews. Unfortunately I am so very disappointed. The color is not what appeared on the web site. The weave is pretty loose for garment at this price. It feels rough as well. There's frayed fabric stuck out in seam. Other customers have wonderful experience with it so I assume I just happened to get one from the wrong batch."

"I hate to buck the crowd, but I don't like the "lab coat" look of this jacket with its four button closure and shallow opening at the neck -- clearly the model looks best standing sideways. Plus, I can't see anyone buttoning it all the way up, so why four buttons? The fabric was also a disappointment: That middle, magnified view is not what you get. THAT fabric looks like it came from Ireland; whereas, what you get looks like it came from China. None of those shimmering hues are there -- they're flat -- and you don't see that lovely violet (in the green jacket). The sizing seems off, too: I bought this for my mother -- she is 5'2", 105 pounds and the Petite 8 was too snug. Lastly, for where I live, Texas, this jacket just seems too warm-looking, even for the coldest of days. (I should have chosen Orvis' lovely camel-hair blazer.)"

"I agree with the 1st comment, after I purchased the green jacket, I came back to order the tweed pants shown on model in picture. Wish I would have purchased the pants as well. I contacted Orvis and was disappointed the pants are no longer available. ORVIS, please restock the pants."

"The jacket is gorgeous! Petite....hard to find so I was very happy it was offered in petite sizes. The ONLY disappointment...Orvis no longer carries the beautiful -perfect match- slacks shown on the model. Nor could I find slacks (which I would like and would fit) to match. Will have to search elsewhere. Have been very pleased with ALL Orivis purchases!"

"This jacket is worth the investment. The fabric and tailoring are beautiful. I bought the earth toned blazer and the subtle colors and dimension of tones within the weave is beautiful. This isn't something you picked up at the mall, it has cache and looks expensive. Classic chic at its best, you'll wear it for years with jeans, velvet, leather, twill, canvas, velvet and cordoroy. The back side is unadorned, no vents, pleats, or seams."

"Colors are gorgeous, and it pairs well with cordouroy pants or a skirt. It is extremely comfortable, and always looks elegant. I have gotten so many compliments. I wear it so often that I I'm ordering it in blue so it doesn't look like I'm wearing the same thing so often."

"This jacket is beautiful, and it's now available in two colors. I bought the green one several years ago and bought the blue when it became available this year. My only disappointment is something that is going on with all goods these days--my older (green) jacket was made in the US per the label out of Irish wool. I was sure the new one would be as well, but it's made in China. I investigated further and found that both are now made in China--so I did get one US one! It is very pretty and nicely constructed. Staff at Orvis were wonderful in answering my questions (how bright is the blue, what other colors are in the plaid, etc.)."
