"I had received a bottle of Bay Rum 30 years ago - I was 15. My Father took ownership of it, since it was for "men". I visited your Orvis store in Vermont and now being a grown man, bought a bottle. I will never use another after shave again! I just ordered 2 bottles on line. It is truly an amazing product that refreshes and makes me "ready to go." Thank you Orvis for keeping up a great tradition."

"I have loved Bay Rum for years but forgot about it for a few decades, then my son found it and my sensations were re-awakened. Searching for the right mix made several false starts but then I ordered Dominica Bay Rum. Perfect, not too spicy, not too much clove, and not cheap smelling. I love this stuff!!"

"I have been shaving my head for years. The Orvis Bay Rum is a God send. I first found this about 10 years ago, I received a couple of bottles in a Christmas basket designed for a willingly bald man. My pale Irish skin had never been treated so well. My entire head and face were clean feeling and invigorated with out over powering smells or perfumes. I lost track of a place to find it after I moved, but will be sure to pick more up now that I have found it again. My scalp is already tingling with excitement. Not to mention my wife will be stoked I have "my smell" back. If your looking for a good after shaving relief... check this out, it is truly amazing."

"Each Christmas we purchase this aftershave as a gift to all the men in our family. Our younger nephews are telling us that they tried their Dad's and really like how it calms their skin after shaving. This Christmas we will be ordering 15 bottles. It is the one gift that they use on a daily basis. Even our mailman, loves it. I wish they would bring back the cork stopper. It is a great product."

"I bought a bottle of bay rum for the heck of it and it turned out to be a fruitful purchase. I like it because it’s not only all natural, but time tested. You won’t find a better after shave. It works great and in today’s era of the sissy colognes that claim to be manly and the people who wear that stuff......forget about it! This stuff has a real manly smell for real men. I will continue to use it as long as it made. I do agree with the other poster about being messy to dispense with the screw on cap.....small price to pay for an honest product."

"In the age of excess body spray stacked on top of heavy colognes it's nice to turn the pages back to the smells my grandfather and such classic generations used. It feels wonderful on the face after a shave and the scent is refreshing but not overpowering. As original as it gets, and unique enough to stand out amoungst the myriad of canned sprays. It separates the gentlemen from the boys. Period."

"I originally bought a few bottles of this for my father in law as a stocking stuffer some 10 years ago. Based on his reaction, I had to buy a bottle myself and since that day I've never looked back. Its an old school, manly product that smells rugged, without being overly sweet. Keep the tradition alive!"

"Orvis, It's been a long time. All the way back to the prep school I attended as a day student in Lake Forest, IL. I always had the Royal Spice, Royal Lime and a Bay Rum. But it was not until I added a bottle of your "Dominica Bay Rum" to my order about 10-12 years ago that I truly found an after shave that not only refreshed my just shaved face but really invigorated my spirit. I feel ready to go. And always a compliment, from men and women, and a question,"Where did you get that". It feels great on the face and the body. A great after shave. And being in the Mortgage business it's nice not to have to take out a loan to buy a top notch after shave that will give your shaved and weather beaten face some comfort. Thank You Orvis!"
