simply the best,

"I hunt upland birds in Northern Illinois; I have had three of these shirts for at least seven years. When layered with quality wool sweater and gortex unlined camo rain jacket, one can adjust to all weather conditions. I hunt from early fall through February so weather extremes come into play. Same set up works well for elk."

"The ventile product is just the very best.... Durable, breathable, warm when cold and cool when Hot, Rugged in Brush when chasing grouse or woodcock bird hunting, I use all of orvis ventile products and live in the Northeast and bird hunt everyday in season and the Ventile product doesn't get tired and if it can take the northeast cover if can take anything....."

Ventile is stiff stuff for shirt,
February 6, 2008

"I ordered this shirt at the Harrogate shop and was glad I tried it on before buying it. Ventile is amazing fabric, but it's very stiff (and quite noisy) for a shirt. Not particularly comfortable either. The stiching is very big - so it doesn't look expensive but it is - too much for me! But I did buy the ventile trousers, and they've been great. Again not particularly comfortable - I wish the stiching on the pockets was better thought through, but the fabric is pretty waterproof.
UK buyers beware: American 32" means 34"."
