Not What I Hoped it Would Be,

"My lab/rott mix loved being in it when it was open, and it was very nice looking, but she chewed through it and destroyed it when left unattended for 30 minutes with it zipped, which kind of defeats the purpose. I didn't return it to the store at the time this happened as I didn't realize that Orvis would take it back or exchange it. I wish I had known better."

"We purchased two of these for a holiday road trip and couldn't be more pleased with them. After years of carting our old style plastic crates in and out of hotels, these were a deight! Plus the mesh makes it easy to see through the crate and out your windows! We have a 6 yr old female lab and a 3 year old male and both were comfortable. We purchased a medium for our 65 lb. female and a large for our 95 lb. male and both worked just fine. Great design, nice color...all around great investment."

"We purchased this crate for our 80 lb lab to use when we travel on our boat. The easy set up and down makes this perfect for confined spaces. Our dog loves it, however, I don't recommend this for puppies or dogs that chew. Our dog investigated the zippers the first time we used it and managed to open it right up because we neglected to use the clips! We liked it so much that we got rid of the commercial looking crate we had at home and he uses it every day. We've had it over a year and it's very durable."

"The crate is great for any dog who does not chew. Light weight and collapses easily. However, within one week, my puppy managed to destroy the front zipper opening and the side vent. I've had to replace these openings with metal wire. Bottom line, if your dog chews, this is not a good crate."

"We thought this crate was the best looking and had the most features for what we wanted, but it let us down, not once but twice (after we returned the first one, thinking it was defective). While the mesh allows the dog good circulation and to be able to see out well, it does not hold up to light scratching. Once a small tear is created, it turns into a game (for any dog) and they're out the hole in a matter of hours. We're looking at metal crates now....."

"We bought the medium for our puppy, and even though he has grown, the crate is roomy and comfortable. He can sit up in it easily. The crate itself looks so good--and is solidly built--that we now use it as our pup's permanent crate. Plus, it's easy to disassemble and carry on road trips. It's the ultimate dog crate."

"I just purchased this crate for my two dogs. Each dog went into the crate readily and took a nap. They like the crate, and apparently find it secure and comfortable. I like the crate because it is easy to set up, fold up and carry. There is a handle so you can carry the folded crate like a suitcase. The crate appears to be sturdy with reinforced corners which are the points most likely to wear. It's appearance is attractive. I will use this crate when traveling with my dogs and I will take the crate to the dog sitter's for use there. I plan to buy a second crate so each dog with have their own crate."

"We could not have made a better purchase than the folding nylon crate for our trip this summer. We were in and out of hotels, friend's homes and this gave our year old yellow lab and us a complete sense of security. The crate is sturdy, relatively easy to put up and take down, and lightweight for carrying in and out of hotels. We also used the crate in it's folded position as a barrier between the front and back seats in the car while on the road. This works well if the folded crate will not fit in a truck or cargo space. We would highly recommend this crate to any dog owner who travels with their dogs."

"Love the crate. Easy to fold up but my 8 month puppy at 95 pounds Jake has ripped and chewed the zippers and the crate itself. He is a lab and does not like the crate itself. I'm dissapointed because of the money I spent on the crate."
