Tricos are tough enough to see in the first place. During the spinner fall in the evening it can be very frustrating. This indicator pattern gives you a bright orange parachute to help you pick out your fly on the water. This can be one of the best opportunities to catch trout and it's tough if you can't see your fly. Make sure if you fish Tricos, you have some of these on hand during the evening. "The Trico spinner fall on the South Platte is something that should not be missed - but be prepared. These are educated fish that see a lot of fishing pressure. This pattern offers many benefits that will help you hook more fish. There are two important things that this fly accomplishes. First, its a good realistic pattern that will blend in well with the other spinners on the water. Second, when a trout takes a Trico it can be very subtle, seeing the strike is the difference between catching fish and going home skunked. Being a spinner in a parachute pattern and having the hi vis post, the fly floats well and you can see the fly to know when to set the hook. This a great pattern! Tie on a smaller spinner pattern as a dropper or try a sunken spinner as a dropper and hang on!"
