The water bowl is not waterproof, October 30, 2009

"The water bowl is quite sturdy and attractive, but don't fill it 3/4 full and leave it sitting around like you would a metal or porcelain bowl. I did that and found it sitting in a small puddle of water the next morning. The bowl didn't completely leak, but it appeared as though it had sweated 10% of the water through the lining. Maybe I was expecting too much from a portable bowl, but I would like to use it the same way I'd use a non-folding bowl so I can be sure my dog has constant access to more than just an ounce or two of water while we're traveling.

Orvis Customer Service was very nice when I contacted them about it, and I'm trying another one of their portable bowls to see if it works any better. Here's hoping."
