well made, beware of size, November 11, 2009

"Nice boots, heavy but very well made. Sole is quite stiff, these require a good deal of break-in (it's been 3 months). My size 13s are quite oversized (compared to Lucchese, Nocona & Tony Lama I have) and sloppy in the heel even w/ heavy winter socks. I was hoping this might improve as the sole breaks in but will probably need tongue pads or double socks."

"These Chippewa buffalo boots are not only rugid and great-looking, but are extremely versatile and comfortable as well. Shafts are narrow enough to tuck jeans in while on horseback which prevents pant and sock twist. Vibram soles are great for traction in winter, unlike leather-soled boots. I wear these gems all year long!!!
