"My husband and I live in a small condo, and we don't have room for a dining room table and chairs. We are able to store our table so that we can entertain. But, we don't have the living space or storage space for chairs for the table. I had the idea that we could purchase small benches to use as the chairs and that these could double as benches and small tables around the condo when we don't need to entertain. We use the benches in our bathroom and as stools for putting on shoes. The Irish Country Stool was a perfect purchase for this reason (and the only thing that I found of its kind).
The stools are well-made and attractive. There is a slight quality control issue among stools that I could see in how the varnish is applied. Three of the four I bought were great, one was not so great (but the varnish issue, due to sloppy application, is underneath and not noticeable). So, I kept all four."

"It is placed in the small entryway by my back door to the garage. It looks like it has always belonged. Now I have a nice spot to put on my shoes, or to set things upon when needed.
The first one I received was damaged during shipment. Orvis promptly exchanged it, and the replacement arrived beautifully."

"This Irish Country Stool is a perfect side table for my Ekornes leather recliner, for it's just the right height and rustic look that I've been looking for. The stool is a very quality product, which I first noticed on how it was packed/shipped. "I recently ordered one of your Irish country stools. I LOVE it! And hopefully will order another soon. Ours is a log home and I have found that I can use this stool as a footrest if I so choose and simply by swivelling my chair around slightly the stool becomes a handy side table. The finish is gorgeous and goes beautifully with the rest of our rustic furnishings. I tried it in a bedroom in front of an antique dresser w/mirror. Goes perfectly there, as well. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH FOR MAKING IT AVAILABLE! I've not seen anything like it anywhere else. "
