3 Words...Big Bass Catcher, June 28, 2009

"This bug is great for very early in the morning or at the end of the day when the big bass are out on the prowl. Due to its size, I would suggest an 8 wt. outfit when using this fly. A bonus with this size is that the sunnies will not bother you in your persuit of big bass. It is durable and holds up well. It also has a weed guard. A must have for topwater bass."

This 5 pounder was right in the pads where he was supposed to be!

"I love using these big bass frog flies. They can result in huge strikes on the surface. Just plop it near some pads or a dock and give it intermittant pops. However, they only hit if they're really feeling aggressive because they're just too lazy to chase something that looks like it might run away. It's a big wind resistant fly so an 8 weight would be best, but I get by with a 6 weight. CHECK OUT THE FISH I GOT!!!!"
