World's Coolest® Patch Shirt

Our famous World's Coolest® Patch Shirt for men is made of squares of pure 3.5-oz. cotton Indian madras that are stitched into a muted multipatch design. The word patch, short for the Telug patch'chardamu, meaning "thin pieces of cloth at Madras," has been in use for more than 300 years to describe the lightweight patch madras used in one of the world's hottest climates. The cloth of the shirt features an open weave to allow plenty of ventilation. From the cloth to the cut, this madras patch shirt is designed for warm-weather wear. Button-through chest pocket. Washable. Imported. Men's shirt sizes: Sizes M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52). Tall sizes 2" longer in the body and sleeve.

"I have owned a shirt like this one since I was very young. A real, high quality cotton one, looks awesome with jeans, is comfortable, and your wife or significant other will love sleeping in it.

Each square of this shirt is single needle stitched, and the colors are washed pastels, and proportionally mixed.

You find "printed Imitations" of this shirts, but the real ones are getting hard to find, and much more expensive than this Orvis example.

"I am ordering this shirt again for Father's Day because he has worn out his first one. He wore it tonight - it's a little faded but still...it looked so good one of my friends asked me where she could get one for her husband's father's day gift. It's a great looking shirt.

"I loved wearing Madras in the fifties and sixties, it was the craze...when I saw this, I was hit with sticker shock. But, definitely worth the price. My favorite shirt, hands down...with jeans or slacks. Very well-made, super comfortable."
