Safe Passage Get-A-Way Pack and Super Mini Pack

Safe Passage Get-A-Way Pack and Super Mini Pack

This chest pack is your best value in a fishing vest alternative. Pack only the flies and gear you need for specific waters; perfect for the traveling or backcountry angler, or to keep the right fly fishing gear in your car for quick jaunts to the local river. The Super Mini fishing chest pack has gussetted sides with shock cords to expand to almost double capacity. Easily holds two or more standard size fly boxes. Chest pack's mesh front pocket holds tippet spools. Pliers sheath on one side, fly fishing accessories pocket on the other. Handy ripple foam fly patch on top flap. Padded shoulder or neck strap for comfort. The larger Get-A-Way fishing chest pack, perfect for larger rivers or all saltwater fly fishing applications, holds one or two of our standard saltwater-size fly boxes. It has the same features as the Super Mini, plus two mesh tippet spool pockets and extra D-Rings for lots of hanging or loop-on fly fishing accessories. Both chest packs are made of rugged, lightweight, Velocity nylon and 680 denier nylon ballistic cloth that holds up to years of hard use. In forest.

Safe Passage Regular and Super Mini Get-A-Way Pack, June 18, 2009
By: DunbarFlyFisherman from West Newton, PA

"I recently purchased both the Super Mini and Regular Get-A-Way Packs. Both packs are very similar in construction and features, with the only real difference being one is larger and has an extra front pocket.

Both of these packs are exceptional. The construction is really top-notch. Very durable fabrics and excellent seams. The neck strap is perhaps the finest I have ever seen on a chest pack offered by any manufacturer - it has a very thick (hence: comfortable) pad that rests against the back of your neck. The regular size pack easily holds two large Wheatley fly boxes, strike indicators, four spools of tippet and an altoids tin filled with streamers. The super-mini holds exactly the same stuff except it holds only a single Wheatley fly box rather than two. I bought the Super-Mini to use on a few local streams where I only need to carry a single fly box. I'll use the regular for fishing streams that have more selective trout where I couldn't manage with just a single box. This really is an outstanding product - holding just exactly the things I need without any room for the extras I don't need (but would surely fill if offered the space - voidaphobia!). The built in "zinger" holds a snip, the built in floatant holder and hemostat holder are great features that many other manufacturers omit for some reason. These are both superb products and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to "go light". The only thing I would add if I could would be a loop on the neck strap pad to attach a net to. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing."

"Perfect pack to use if you don't feel like spending $100. It fits enough flies that you need for a day and forceps, tippet, leader, and a small fly box! It's perfect!"

Awesome Pack, January 12, 2009
By: WesM from Flowery Branch, GA

"I got this pack as an alternative to my vest, its a great Grab and Go pack for those quick fly fishing trips...I have the Mini Pack and it holds 1 Box and the Safe Passage Leader Wallet...my only issue with it is that i wish the opening was a little wider...and if you have forceps on the side the handles on the forceps get in the way of the zipper to open it up...other than that i love it..."

"This is a great little pack. Avoids being loaded down with unnecessary equipment. Be ready to go fishing at a moments notice. It is especially nice in hot weather."

Great product, October 26, 2008
By: Garry1000 from Rector Arkansas

"I bought the safe passage super mini pack for my Son who is just geting into fly fishing. I liked it so much that I will buy another one for me. It is small and light but it still has room for all your fly fishing tools! It is cooler than a vest and can haul more tools than a lanyard! It is built very strong and is a good product. The price seems a tad high untill you see the quality of this item. It is just an Orvis item that has Orvis quailty! I think it just might last a life time of normal use!"

Go regular!, May 15, 2008
By: Chrmax from Franklin, IN

"Got the regular size for my dad. He loves it. He use to use an old army claymore bag, but this is much more durable with better accessories. He does not like a vest so this was perfect for him. The mini is very small, very small. It could hold maybe a small fly box or two. Probably more for a person who might fish at lunch or for someone who has a pond in the neighborhood and really knows the hatches.. The regular is fairly roomy and could hold maybe two large fly boxes. All accessories can be put on the outside like floatant bottle, forceps, and nippers. Has a built in zinger. My Dad loves it!"
