Great flats boot,
December 28, 2009

"Gave up on the lace up 'marl' walkers as being too tiresome to take on and off and found many other zip up boots lacked durability and or support (I've got skinny legs and narrow feet).
These flats boots from Orvis have proved to be ideal in soft mud, hard sand as wellas over sharp rocks etc. The "breathable" neoprene allows maximum water flow for comfort and I had no problems with mud or fine sand getting in the tops.
Zip is ideal for easy on / off"

"Got a pair of these for my first trip abroad to Belize back in 2005, prefer the higher ancle to the low tops. Very comfortable and easy to get in and out of!"

Belize Flats,
January 10, 2008

"If you are headed to the coral strewn flats of Belize to stalk Permit you can't do better than this boot. Your Keen sandals just won't do it. They are a little too warm for leaving them on the whole day in the boat, especially in the tropics, however in the water they are the best I've used. Rugged, non-slip and easy on and off. If you are walking on coral these boots should be your choice!"

Perfect, just perfect,
October 5, 2007

"Most of my fishing is in warm water and from a float tube. By the time I got my flippers on and entered the water, I managed to pick up enough sand and pebbles in my sandels to really be a nusance. The straps on the flippers fit me so that their straps left nice abrasions on the tops of my feet. But not any longer, not now that I have with these wading boots. I now can stay in the water longer focused on fishing as I am more comfortable. Plain and simple, no more sand, pebbles, or chafing, just sitting, kicking and fishing. The side zipper allows for an easy on and an easy off. I did find that they run big. I wear a 9 1/2 shoe and the Orvis Rep suggested I purchase size 10. I had to return them for a size 9 and they are just perfect."
