"This is the second American Bison Leather Wallet I have purchased for men in my life. Two years ago I got one for my husband and had it personalized. He loves the wallet!! It is well-made, holds all the ID and other cards he needs to access, yet is not bulky or heavy. I ordered one for my son as a gift for Christmas and also had it personalized. I am a bit disappointed with the personalization this time as the initials are not exactly straight. I doubt he'll even notice, but this is something a "picky Mom" would spot immediately. The quality of the wallet is wonderful and I would definitely recommend this for any gentleman who does not want a heavy, thick wallet filling up his hip pocket!"

"I ordered and received the bison wallet (thinfold) and the bison money-clip. They were shown (on-line) in brown (dark) leather. These were ordered as a match, for the same person. However, The money clip came in a very pale, light tan (which is not even a color choice). I called customer service,( twice) to see if they could help. Apparently, the only solution would be for me to "order another one and hope it comes in darker". Meaning another shipping fee, etc. I'm not very satisfied with this response."

"This is the second time that I have purchased a Bison Wallet from Ovis. The first, a hipster, was about 10-15 years ago and it last until just a few months ago when the stitching started to go. I'm not as fond of the dippled texture instead of the "old" smooth finish but if that is the only change I'll get use to it. Best wallet I've ever had."

"The wallet is quite lovely. The only flaw is in the monogram. The initials ERE were clear EXCEPT for the final "E" which was not fully imprinted into the leather. I also think the postage is outrageously high for a simple wallet. next time we purchase something we'll try very hard to do it in the store. your products are generally excellent."

"I love the look and size of this wallet, but I'm ordering my husband another after less than a year's use. Granted, he's very hard on wallets, but I think the general flaw with every wallet he's had (Battenkill tri-folds previously) has been the stitching in the credit card slots. It makes no sense to stitch good leather on top to flimsy acetate underneath. The stitching invariably pulls away making the slots useless. I suppose the acetate makes it easier to slip the cards in and out, but if it's really necessary to have it, I'd suggest sandwiching the acetate between 2 layers of leather so it would be a sturdier product. It's a great wallet, but a little pricey if you're replacing it every year!"

"I bought the wallet some 6 months ago and like all well made items it looks better the more its used. My bison wallet is ageing so well I will be really upset if I have to replace it in 4 years or so.
Very happy with Orvis and I am a very cautious customer but have just ordered a TWILL BRUSH HAT.
I know I'm going to buy more from them as time goes on."

"This is my second Bison wallet. The first lasted exactly four years and is still functional, with a hole here and there. It survived the worse kind of abuse, including at least a dozen trips through the washer and dryer. I'm real happy Orvis carries a replacement!"

"I've been using this wallet for a couple of months and it's driving me crazy. I am in the process of returning it. It is extremely bulky but the worst part is the credit card slots. In addition to stitching them the manufacturer has used an adhesive. The adhesive makes it impossible to easily slide your cards in and out."

"I almost never pay retail, but I am very hard on wallets and needed a very durable, strong, and thin one. The Orvis Bison billfold fit the bill, so I got it. One month later there is absolutely no sign of wear and I feel I am really getting my money's worth.
